Properties
Vadara is a mineral surface product that includes other raw materials to improve its durability and design possibilities. Unlike granite, Vadara doesn’t require a sealer. Marble is a softer stone, making it more prone to both staining and scratching. Vadara is crafted from durable natural minerals making it highly resistant to scratching, staining, and impact.

Vadara is a natural stone product that does require joins for any application longer than 3200mm or wider than 1600mm. These joins are visible, but generally less noticeable than joins found using granite.

Vadara Australia offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty for Residential installations and a Limited 10 Year Warranty for Commercial installations.

Durability
Vadara’s nonporous and nonabsorbent surface is resistant to staining and eliminates the need for any sealing. Its nonporous surface also greatly reduces the potential for bacterial growth.
Vadara is durable and more resistant to surface damage than other stone. However, all stone can be damaged by force and no stone is chip-proof. Objects hitting edges, particularly at sinks or dishwashers, may cause chips. Though a minor knife slip will dull the knife and not harm Vadara, no stone surface is scratch-proof.
Like all stone surfaces, Vadara surfaces may be damaged by thermal shock. Sudden and / or rapid changes of temperature as well as direct and / or sustained heating of the top is not recommended. Vadara may not withstand the direct transfer of heat from hot pots and pans and other cooking units such as electric frying pans, air friers, and some crock-pots or bench ovens and heat lamps. Therefore, the use of a heat pad or trivet is always recommended to protect your benchtops.
Vadara surfaces are highly scratch resistant — however, avoid using sharp objects such as sharp knives and other implements directly on the surface. The use of a cutting board is always recommended.
Yes, Vadara is nonporous and safe for food preparation.
Whilst some customers have used Vadara in outdoor applications, it is NOT recommended and therefore NOT covered under the Vadara warranty.
Maintenance
No. Vadara is a non-porous surface that never requires application of any sealant.
Vadara requires no sealing, polishing or reconditioning — for the life of your kitchen. Simply wipe with warm soapy water periodically to maintain the beauty of your Vadara surface. For more detailed instructions refer to our Care & Maintenance Guide.
No special cleaning product is needed to clean Vadara. Use a clean, damp soft cloth or paper towel with warm water and soap for general maintenance.
We recommend you avoid exposing Vadara to chemicals such as oven cleaners, floor strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, oil based soaps, tarnish removers, furniture cleaners, drain cleaning products, etc. Should your surface accidentally be exposed to any potentially damaging products, rinse immediately with water to neutralize the effect.
In the first instance, use a damp, soft cloth with warm soapy water. If this method is unsuccessful, we recommend using Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser. First apply some cleanser to a damp clean cloth or paper towel, then squeeze together several times to form a paste before applying to your surface. Clean any remaining residue with a damp cloth. Always thoroughly rinse off any soap or cleaner with hot water after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.To avoid dulling the surface’s shine, make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner, and rinse off any cleaner with water. To remove adhered material such as food, gum, or nail polish, first scrape away the excess material with a plastic putty knife and then clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any marks left behind and any residual dirt.
